I do believe in retouch. It accounts for a good half of any given project of mine, either photography or CGI print and animation. Post production is what takes a huge load out of the field photographer, thus saving on time, equipment and strain. What really matters is to have an efficient workflow that accounts for it, so it is known in advance what is to be shot, and why and what is going to happen next.
Cutting down on time and resources, the retouch boosts instead the final output, allowing the Client to easily direct the final steps of the project from his office, which would be well uncomfortable on the shot site. The flexible, modular editing that retouch oriented photography allows takes all the conventional limits off and gives a freedom close to the Computer Generated Imagery.
Naturally, I offer both the technical and creative photographic retouch. Whether it is colour grading, restoration, cosmetic touches or bursting artistic photomerge I am the right man for the job.
