Still life with a tasty kick!
My experience with appetizing shots is bound to a few elite food parlours of Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Having on offer the best confectionery and desserts you are expected to display them properly. Since 2009 I am, then, in charge of documenting the handmade masterpieces, filing photographs for menus, shooting reports from exhibitions. 
What is appreciated in my pictures is the lively warmth, almost sensory look of the subject; natural feelings when it comes to food, and the most difficult achievement when taking pictures of it. On the technical side I use Nikon D80 and an approach borrowed from Computer Graphic, which is as unorthodox as speed and cost effective. It allows me to shot with the minimum equipment, in any location and with minimal time per subject, still offering the quality you might sample in my photographic portfolio.
